23 Jun 2010 - Year 6 from Clore Shalom came and joined our year 6 for a day of informal Jewish learning. The theme was Israel and the children participated in a day that involved playing games, studying Jewish texts and creating short films. We were joined by Rabbis Shoshana Boyd-Gelfand, Michael Shire, Mark Goldsmith and Laura Janner-Klausner. We were also joined by Rina Wolfson from the Jewish Educators Network, Josh Martin with a group of madrichim (leaders) from RSY-Netzer, and Jonathan Zecharia from Hanoar. The children had a great day, spent time getting to know each other and created some fantastic films about the importance of Israel. |
